Hello everyone,
What a busy couple of weeks we've had! Just some friendly reminders for a few items that students should bring in this week:
Dance-a-thon fundraising form - students are encouraged to do some fundraising, as the money goes directly to our library; whether students fund-raise or not, the form must be sent into the school to indicate that your child can participate in the dance. Without the form, students will spend the last 60 minutes of the day in the library.
Moving Arts - The deadline for the Moving Arts permission forms and $10 is Tuesday November 1. Students are encouraged to participate, as this is a great opportunity to have professional dance teachers instruct them.
BDHS Visit Permission - on November 2, we will be traveling to BDHS to give our Grade 8 students their first taste of highschool. Students will be visiting four Grade 9 classrooms while the Grade 9 students are at "Take your child to work" day. Grade 8 students will have the opportunity to buy lunch at 10:45 in the highschool cafeteria if they wish. Please have permission forms sent in as soon as possible.
Accident Insurance Forms - several students received Accident Insurance forms last week (many have already returned them, so if you've already sent it in, you can skip this!); if your child brought one of these forms home, please fill it in as soon as possible and return it to the school. This information is required in the office in order for students to participate in sports and fieldtrips.
QSP - for the first time in Fieldcrest history, we will be selling magazines as a fundraiser. Please see the paperwork your child brought home - the date to return the forms should be on them.
Parent-Teacher Conferences - Conferences are happening Thursday November 17th in the evening, and Friday November 18th in the morning. If you didn't make it to Meet-the-Teacher night or were there but didn't sign up, please send in a note indicating whether you'd like the 17th or the 18th and I will try to accommodate. For those parents who have already signed up, I will be sending home confirmation of dates and times within the next week or so.
